Why do we look to them to value us?
But we are quick to throw each other under the bus.
Why do we leave our problems for them to solve?
Are they not issues that we can resolve?
Why do we need them to help us progress?
Can’t we come together and develop this mess?
And what’s with the constant need for aid?
Are we not tired of the same old pathetic charade?
It’s time.
Time to let go of our insecurities,
And have faith in our God-given abilities.
Time to stop looking for people to blame,
So the status quo won’t remain the same.
Time to shift and elevate our mindsets,
So we can release ourselves from emotional debt.
And as the invisible chain finally breaks free,
We will have our epiphany,
Realizing we always had the power to be whatever we choose to be,
To bring about the change we frustratingly wish to see.
